We interrupt the high school high I'm on to talk business. My friend Jamie has asked me to take part in a blogging trend to reveal six things you don't know about me. This comes at a moment when I feel I've already revealed way too much here about myself but because I adore Jamie - here goes. One. After five years of taking selfies I've completely lost interest in taking selfies.
Suddenly I'm finding the photos taken by that special someone to be more glamorous, more filled with light. Two. I love rescuing abandoned furniture from peoples' trash heaps. Meet my new roundtop table! I found it on my way to work yesterday and five minutes later it was in my truck. Expect to see people sitting around it in the upcoming weeks.
Three. Back to Istanbul where I spent a lot of time inside Ikea. Not inside an Ikea catalog mind you but actually inside the store. What is not to love about mod design, fair prices, hip music and good food while you're shopping? Nothing. That's what I thought you would say Four. I spend a lot of time
thinking about designing. Probably furniture. And things for home. After a brief affair with high fashion a couple of years ago, I've gone back to preferring torn jeans and sweaters with holes in them - not that I'm opposed to satin and velvet and designer shoes because I'm not.
Five. I'm not really that crazy about desserts. When forced to eat them I will but I would gladly take bread and butter or a glass of red wine or coffee with creme for dessert. And six.
You know that question about what would you do if you knew you wouldn't fail - here's the answer. I would fall in love. That's it. Interview over. No more questions please.
